Sea Urchin has released on 12″ vinyl Heathcote Williams reading a selection of his poems. The LP comes with an offset printed sleeve and an audio-CD that contains all the tracks of the vinyl plus two extra recordings. Jan Herman, who recorded Heathcote Williams in September 2013 and who wrote the liner notes for the LP and CD, writes about the poems published: “Mr. President,” “The United States of Porn,” “Forbidden Fruit, or The Cybernetic Apple Core,” and “Snuff Films at the White House” are poems I think of as CT scans of history. They are history investigated and exposed. In their uncompromising nakedness, they tell the moral truth beneath journalism’s proverbial first draft. And the truth is not that welcoming.”
The LP sleeve and CD wrapper were designed by Anneke Auer. Sound and vinyl production: René van der Voort & Manuel Padding. Recordings © Cold Turkey Press. This Sea Urchin edition is co-produced by Wim Brands.
